Good Luck Charms

What is good luck? Luck of the draw, opportunity or hard work, and persistence?

January is not just the beginning of a new year, it is also the time when symbolism is in season. Ancient symbols which carry on never losing their attractions. Even those who decry organized religion fall prey to good luck charms. There is comfort in the notion that there is some invisible power looking over us, guiding us, and yes bring good luck. What is it that draws us to them? Is it the lack of confidence we have in our own abilities? The way trying to control the uncontrollable? Perhaps dealing with our anxieties and the unknown? Permission to go with the flow and let things evolve organically. 

meaning and The series of good luck charms came out of a whim wanting to try out a new medium. However, as I drew them and began researching, I  learned more about good luck charms symbolism. There was a meditative nature and comfort I felt during the time I drew them. Many of the symbols are ancient and they can be found in almost all cultures. Others are region-specific. 

Whatever it might be I gather as long as it is in good fun, holistically, and does not stand in the way of living life there is no harm in believing in them. Go ahead read that yearly horoscope and keep reading until you find the one resonating with you. In many ways, they illustrate the dreams you have for yourself and the goals you like to reach.
