You see this right, I am starting my captain log again. I tried to keep it up but got lazy. So much has happened. Our dear friend Rita lost her battle with cancer. There is not a day I don’t have her and her family on my mind. Our town had two devastating losses just this week and our department another. My daily garden safari with my camera helps me find some peace. I signed up for a 365 art challenge and started going out with my macro lens first thing in the morning. My collection is growing nicely. The challenge is good for me on so many levels. First to create new work, second to see what’s going on in our garden, and third I have a reason to show off my work and promote it. Despite the current economy, I made a few small sales. I hope that some of this work pays out at the end of the year. Summer has been busy so far. Every year I promise myself downtime and it never seems to be happening. I will have to start scheduling vacations away even if that means leaving the family home. Ken has an aversion to vacation, so that might be the only way I get my break. Heike is taking summer courses and Blake will start his first job helping with the IT needs of the high school. He is a bit over the whole application thing and the office not telling him what he needs to supply to them all at once. I told them it is a great lesson on professionalism.

The office should have a handout of e-mail they send out to new hires to inform them of documents needed. With all the rain it is difficult to keep up with the garden.

My neighbor is pretty much recovered from all the knee ordeal over the last two years. They are celebrating their 60 wedding anniversary this month. With some help from a health aid and family, they are doing really well. Off course, I am still helping her with her orchids and a ride from time to time. I signed up for the Lot323 event again this year. My Friday is June 24 so make sure to visit their website to see all the fun activities going on. http: // lot323. com
Crazy me as I am not busy enough also will be helping on a mural on Saturday. I really wanted to do more after we did the one in Glassboro. I need to get back into the local art groove again. Captains Log out 06162022.
